For those who prefer the ambiance and convenience of a real “English Pub”, or to be a little more homely in a cottage next door, there can be no better place than the Dog Inn.
The pub is 500 years old, grade II listed, and retains all the charm and character of its age. A large varied menu is available with ample choice for vegetarians. Fresh fish and local produce are our speciality. We are located close to the M4 corridor on the ‘Cotswold Way Walk’, now a National Trail, and 2 miles from Yate Industrial Estates, with excellent links from Yate for rail, bus, and taxi services. We are also only a twenty minute walk to the quaint high street of Chipping Sodbury.

The White Lion has been trading as an Inn since 1644 and the hotel has seen many changes over the many decades since! Originally it was a small inn, with single accommodation upstairs, but there has been a series of extensions added over the years to transform it into a large hotel with two bars, functions room, lounge, dining area and lots more besides.
We feel our hotel offers an ideal location for short breaks or business trips. It is sited close to railway and motorway networks to Bristol, as well as a wide range of traditional Cotswold towns such as Chipping Sodbury, Stroud, Malmesbury, Bath and Cheltenham.
The Compass Inn is a medium sized, family run, hotel set in the beautiful South Cotswolds. An 18th century coaching inn with modern accommodation set in 6 acres of beautifully kept grounds and gardens. Just a minutes drive from junction 18 of the M4, making us the perfect choice when traveling to either Bath or Bristol, and don’t forget the famous Badminton Horse trials are held only a couple of miles away.
The Orangery Restaurant, under Head chef Hugo de Bonneval, has a reputation for using the very best of local produce and seasonal game, as well as a fine wine list with a particularly unusual selection from South Africa.
We pride ourselves on our wedding service and hold a licence for civil services.
